The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet

Act 1 Scene 2: A street

 

         Paris, a young count and kinsmen to the Prince is talking to Capulet, Juliet's father about marrying his daughter. Capulet is unsure about letting Juliet marry Paris. Capulet decides to have a party to introduce Juliet to Paris and tells Paris to invite guests to the party. Paris can not read so he tells a servant to invite people for the party instead. The servant runs into Romeo and Benvolio and accidentally invites them to the party. They decide to go in hopes to cheer up Romeo. Benvolio also tries to make Romeo get over Rosaline.
